The Student Research Symposium on AIoT Innovations for a Sustainable Environment (AIoT4SE-2026) is a one-day technical forum designed to promote research, innovation, and knowledge sharing among Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Research Scholars in the emerging domain of the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT). The symposium emphasizes the seamless integration of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things technologies to develop intelligent, efficient, and sustainable solutions for addressing real-world environmental challenges.

AIoT4SE-2026 provides a collaborative platform for students to present original research papers, innovative projects, and working prototypes in areas including smart energy systems, environmental monitoring, sustainable agriculture, smart cities, green computing, and secure intelligent systems. The symposium encourages interdisciplinary research, practical problem-solving, and the application of advanced analytics, edge intelligence, and low-power IoT architectures aligned with sustainability goals.

On the eve of World IoT Day 2026, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIST University, Berhampur–761008, Odisha, India, is organizing this one-day technical Student Research Symposium on 9th April 2026 (Thursday) in hybrid mode. Through technical sessions, presentations, and expert interactions, the symposium aims to nurture a strong research culture, enhance technical competence, and inspire young researchers to contribute meaningfully toward building a smart and sustainable environment.
