  Secondary school students.\n\nObjectives\n\n 	To introduce and mentor uni
 versity students to the Internet of Things (IoT)\, its possibilities and p
 otential\, and how it can be used in solving problems in our communities.\
 n 	To give university students an opportunity to experience and build rele
 vant projects in IoT.\n 	Act as role models to girls from upper primary an
 d secondary schools on how they use technology as a tool for problem-solvi
 ng.\n\nDescription.\n\nIn this activity\, GoGirls ICT Initiative is planni
 ng a training that will span for a period of three days. The targeted 10 f
 emale university students will be trained on the basics of Internet of Thi
 ngs (IoT) and become mentors to girls from upper primary and secondary sch
 ools within Juba. The mentors will come up with products that they will sh
 owcase at the “Career Day fair”  scheduled for 21st April\, where the
 y will build and rebuild these products together with the students as they
  interact\, ask questions\, and have hands-on experience.\n\nThis activity
  is anchored on International Girls in ICT Day\, an International Telecomm
 unication Union (ITU) global initiative that takes place every year on the
  4th Thursday of April. It aims to encourage young women and girls to purs
 ue careers and studies in Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Mathema
 tics #STEM\, particularly ICT.\n\nThis activity is made possible with supp
 ort from the National Communication Authority – NCA in South Sudan.
